Dehradun - Visit this town nestled between the Yamuna and Ganga rivers. This town will be your gateway to other pilgrimage sites within the foothils
Kedarnath & Badrinath - Just helicopter over to visit these Hindu pilgrimage centers hidden within the mountains
Haridwar & Rishikesh - Practice Yoga and meditation at Rishikesh on the banks of the Ganges. Also visit local spiritual centers along the river at Haridwar.
Gangotri & Uttarkashi - Take a dip at the source of the Mother Ganges river at Gangotri, with a gorgeous view of the Bhagirathi Peaks in the distance.
Day 1 - Delhi - Arriving at the Indian Capital, start the trip right, with ample time to settle in. Recuperate from your travel with relaxed day. Optional city tour will be available.
Day 2 - 3 - Dehradun - Fly to the foothills of the lower Himalayan ranges. The city is known for its various Hindu temples & Buddhist Monastery; Must-see sights include : The Forest Research Institute Museum, Robber's Cave, a Nature Hike to Shasradhara falls, temples. even a trip to the Mindrolling Monastery, the largest Buddhist school in India .
Day 4 - Kedarnath & Badrinath * - Helicopter* over for a day trip to these Hindu pilgrimage centers. These towns on the Himalayan mountain ranges are located at elevations of 11,657 ft & 10,827 ft

Day 5 - 7 - Rishikesh & Haridwar - On the banks of the Ganges river lies the Yoga and meditation capital of the world. These days will rejuvenate you through daily yoga and meditation sessions interspersed with visits to local temples.
Optional : Adventure seekers can also go rafting on the Ganges available
Day 8 - 9 - Gangotri & Uttarkashi - As per Indian legends Lord Shiva controlled the Bagirathi river and tied it on his head. One of the important pilgrimage center for Hindus. Drive to Uttarkashi from Rishikesh and stay for 2 nights. On Day 9, day trip to Gangotri for temple visit and holy dip in Ganges river.
Day 10 - Dehradun - Return to Dehradun, where you will spend the night before your journey back home
Day 11 - Delhi - From Dehradun fly back to Delhi & night flight back home; Optional Delhi sight seeing tour available
Can this tour be booked for different dates?
Yes, but May & June are the best months to visit the Himalayan pilgrimage centers. From July to Sept, weather conditions may not be conducive to travel, except for adventure seekers
Do I need to prepare for the Kedarnath & Badrinath trips?
As you travel to these locations by helicopter, you may only carry a hand bag for the day trip. Unfortunately, there is no luggage space as, at most, 6 people can fit in the helicopter.
What are heights of these Himalayan ranges?
Gangotri is around 11,204 ft; Kedarnath - 11,657 ft; Badrinath - 10,827 ft. In this tour you will be driving to Gangotri from Uttarkashi, with overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Do I need any special clothes for the yoga classes and trips to the temples?
Yes. Modest, loose-fitting clothing is prefered for the yoga classes. For the temples, simple traditional wear is prefered. Alternatively, fully pants and long shirts will do.
